Goku slays Tambourine, yet before Cymbal and the Demon King himself he is outmatched and carried, dying, back to Karin Tower. Korin imposes training beyond Super Holy Water and hints at a distant god, steering Goku toward a path of revival. Meanwhile the Demon King assembles every Dragon Ball and asks Shenron for youth, reclaiming the body of his prime. The instant the wish is granted, Drum's blow kills Shenron and the orbs turn to stone, never to grant another wish. Under Korin, Goku reforges ki and flesh to their limits and readies himself to throw his life into the fight with the rejuvenated king.
